NEW! Jujitsu Events

BBFC will be offering Jujitsu Tournaments seperate from the Traditional Tournament Events in 2010.

New Events include: Gi Grappling, No Gi Grappling, and Sport Jujitsu

Gi and No Gi Events

Competitors will start standing

Submission allowed for everyone over 14
Kids under 14 will also start at standup but will be positional

(ex: armbar allowed but will be stopped before full application)

Sport Jujitsu

Consists of 3 phases, standup striking, takedown, and grappling.
Phase 1 Striking: competitors use traditional sparring (no face contact).
Phase 2 : Take down; competitors fight until the clinch or grab, after that NO STRIKING.
They work to take the other to the ground

Phase 3 Submission Grappling; Comeptitors have 30 seconds to get the opponent to submit or they stand up and start all over again.
